Why It Exists
Give new volunteers one clear public landing page for onboarding into Tree of Life systems and processes.
Who It Serves
New volunteers, prospective volunteers, and ministry participants being onboarded into church systems.
Best Next Step
Start volunteer onboarding, join Planning Center, join Slack, complete background checks, or contact a ministry leader.
Why It Matters To Tree of Life
Creates a single public routing page for volunteer onboarding workflows instead of scattering setup steps across ministries.
Volunteer Onboarding
This page exists to route new volunteers through one clear public path instead of scattering onboarding expectations across multiple ministry pages.
Who This Is For
If you are ready to serve at Tree of Life or are being invited into a ministry team, start here. This page is for prospective volunteers, not just existing members.
How Onboarding Works
Volunteer onboarding usually includes ministry conversation, planning and scheduling access, team communication, and when needed, background-check steps for roles involving children or other sensitive ministry contexts.
Step 1
Talk with a ministry leader or start by contacting the church about where you want to serve.
Step 2
Once you are moving forward, your leader can help you get into the right systems, including Planning Center access, communication tools such as Slack, and any role-specific onboarding steps.
Keep This Centralized
The point of this page is not to publish every internal workflow. Its job is to give volunteers one unmistakable starting place and hand them off to the right ministry leader and system.
If a ministry requires scheduling access, communication setup, or background checks, that should be coordinated after the initial ministry conversation instead of scattered across public pages.
